Have you ever been so afraid that you can’t think or you find yourself reacting to every single thought that is entering your head or feeling you are feeling? I have been.

It is quite scary to be that afraid and to simply not be able to see what is real and what is not. Too simply not know who you can trust or if anyone at all can be trusted.

Fear can be quite traumatic when it gets to this point which has left me wanting to examine the whole idea of fear. For example, what is fear?  How does it gain so much control over people? and, how is fear even created?

This is what I would like to talk about this week as we go deeper into understanding.

In my experience, I have found that fear is created in one of four ways the first way is,

Illusions?

If you have been working on your own understanding of things or on self-improvement for any length of time you will likely already know the fear is nothing more than false evidence appearing real.

This false evidence is called illusions and illusions are brought about through misunderstanding and miscommunications, which honestly happen all the time these days.

In these illusions, we can take things out of context, and then we turn on those around us, thinking that they have turned on us. When in fact in most cases they are really trying to do what is best for us.

It is not usually the cases that people are trying to cause us, harm it is just that we perceive that they are. Illusions can make things seem so real and so scary even when in reality it really is not as it seems.

The next way fear is created is through our,

Limiting Beliefs

In this way fear creeps in and says we are not good enough, we can never achieve what it is we want to achieve, and so on.

Again, it is usually nothing more than false evidence appearing real. Although you may not be good enough by one person’s standards you can be the greatest person alive by another person’s standards as it is all about perspective.

Limiting beliefs are named what they are because they are limiting you in your ability to overcome whatever it is that you are facing and they are only good for creating unwanted and completely unneeded fear.

Another way fear makes its way into our lives is through,

Insecurities

Insecurities are that little voice in our head that says that the worst will always happen and things will never get better or it is the voice of someone else telling you all the things you are doing wrong or that you will never be good enough, strong, and so on

Again, this is just false evidence appearing real.  This false evidence in many cases not only creates fear it also puts people in the position to create self-fulling prophecies, meaning you begin to believe so strongly that your worst fears will happen that you actually set things in motion for them to play out the way you fear they will and this leads you to reinforce your belief that only the worst will happen.

The last way that I will discuss that fear finds its way into our lives is through,

Negative Thoughts Or Mindset

When we think negatively we tend to believe the worst because we can’t see anything positive about the situation at hand.

In seeing only the worst of something or someone you tend to become afraid and untrusting of them or the situation.  You will likely develop insecurities, create an illusion, or form limiting beliefs based on these negative thoughts and your self- filling prophecies.

As you begin to believe your negative thought more and more you will find that your life will also become more and more negative which again will reinforce your belief in the negative perspective that you have.

If you are understanding all this you should be seeing by now how fear is so freaking sneaky. It creeps in while you are distracted with what is wrong or what you want to change and it feeds on all the bad things and grows if you let it.

As it grows it gets stronger and starts to consume more and more of your life, until one day you decide to take back the raynes and overcome your fears.

This is what we will be discussing next week, so be sure to come back next week and take the next step into discovery and new understandings.

If you enjoyed this blog. Until next time, Namaste
