Welcome back, everyone, this week, I thought I would discuss the law of attraction. If you are anything like I was when I first started researching this topic, you will likely have a particular perspective of what the law of attraction is and how it works. (I know I did, and as I came to discover it was far more in-depth of a process than I could have imagined.)
Yet, you find it does not work for you for whatever reason. This can be very frustrating when you practice the law of attraction only for it not to work for you the way it does for others.
If this is you and you would like it to work for you better than it does, then stick with me as I give you a basic but straightforward look at the law of attraction and how to get it to start working for you.
As always, that starts with the definition of the law of attraction.
What do I mean when I say the law of attraction?
The law of attraction is a universal principle that states you will attract whatever you focus on. So, therefore, you give your energy and attention to what will come back to you.
It has been scientifically proven that thoughts are made up of vibrations that radiate into the universe. When the frequency of that vibration meets the universal energy, that vibration and energy are then drawn back to you.
This is a fundamental outline of what the law of attraction is. However, it can be broken down into much greater detail. So let’s start with how it works.
How does it work?
Now that you have a basic understanding of the law of attraction, you might be wondering how you can get it to work.
It sounds straightforward when you say think a positive thought and positive things will happen for you, only there is more to it than just thinking positive. When dealing with the law of attraction, it is best to think about it as a step-by-step process, like with most things in life.
The steps would be;
- Know precisely what you want. This means you need to understand what you genuinely want, not what you think. I know this can be confusing, but it is extremely important that you are aware of what you truly want at a soul level, not just what you want on the surface level.
- Visualize what it is you want. ( you can do this with a vision board or through reflective meditation)
- Then begin positive thinking and using positive self-talk to reinforce your belief that what you want will manifest real.
- Be grateful for what you already have and what is to come, even though it has not yet manifested.
- Commit to the manifestation of this desire, want, or goal. ( it may take time to manifest. Thus, it is vital to remain patient and committed to its manifestation)
If you can follow these steps and remain patient for it to manifest, you will see the law of attraction work for you and possibly far better than you would have expected.

Diving Deeper
Did you know that there are seven laws of attraction? I found this interesting as I had never thought about things on this level before. Maybe you might find it interesting.
- The first law would be the law of manifestation – the law of thoughts being made real.
- The second law is the law of magnetism, which states you can draw people, things, and opportunities to you.
- The third law is the law of Unwavering Desire – this law is the building of a solid desire to manifest what you want. ( If you do not remain committed to manifesting your wishes, they will fade away like a lost or forgotten thought.)
- The fourth law is the law of Balance – this law is when you experience true peace, joy, and gratitude, which you can only have when you have a complete balance of your energy and vibration.
- The fifth law is the law of Harmony – this law is when you have a harmonious life flow.
- The sixth law is the law of Right Action – this law affects the world around us and determines the quality of our experiences in life.
- The seventh law is the law of Universal Influence – this law is when our energy becomes a part of the universe and is returned to us.
These seven laws make up a complete understanding of the law of attraction and how it works when each of these laws is put into action.
Cool, huh. I thought so. It helped me see that the law of attraction comprises many different layers. When you see something clearly, you can respond or act accordingly. In the case of the law of attraction, I now understand that it requires me to master all seven of these laws in order to master the concept and use of the law of attraction.
