Welcome back, everyone, this week, I thought I would go into deeper detail about changing negative to positive. In my journey of self-discovery and the new perspective that I am on, I have been learning how to see the good in any situation I may be faced with.

I have found it to be a profound discovery as to how I can turn any and all negative into positive, and it is something that I would love to share with you today.

I will freely admit that this has been something that I have struggled to achieve, and I still have not reached the point of mastery of this skill, but I feel that I have enough knowledge that I can share it with you today.

If you would like to know more then, please read on.

The Struggle

The struggle really is primarily mental, more so than emotional but as everything is a process, the first thing you have to do Is recognize the emotions you have linked to the event you are going through.

Once you have identified the emotion, you have to be willing to let go of them and look for the positive in that situation which is not always easy to find.

I will admit, for a very long time, I found it hard to let go of the emotions linked to my events. It seemed nearly impossible to see past what I felt was wrong about the situation, and I just wanted justice or for things to be made right.

As I previously stated, it took me years to see that it was my emotions that kept me living in each of my most traumatic events and that in order to be set free from them, I would have to be willing to let go of them and be open to a new perspective.

The New Perspective

Here is where things get amazing. I discovered that every single thing we as individuals go through has a reason and rhyme. It has a purpose, or it would not be.

Once I came to this discovery, I began to look for the meaning and reason for each event that had so profoundly turned my world upside down.

Do you know what I found? I found that each of those events taught me something new about people, about life, and best of all, it taught me all about me. Each of them taught me who I am, what I can do, who I can be, and that there is no limit to what I can create.

Suddenly, things that had crippled me and left me with overwhelming anger and sadness looked entirely different. The weight I carried with me everywhere I went began to lift as if the sunshine had broken through all those dark clouds in my head.

I started to feel happier and had a real purpose in my life. I started dreaming and finding a new direction for my life, and I wanted to improve myself and my life. It all started with me seeing that not unlinking my emotions from the situation or event was the real problem and that I needed to start seeing things from a different perspective.

Positive Psychology

What is positive psychology, you may ask? Psychology Today is a branch of psychology focused on the character strengths and behaviors that allow individuals to build a life of meaning and purpose—to move beyond surviving to flourish.

It can also be described as a way to take negative thought patterns and reframe them to be more positive, thus, changing t way you see the situation or person you saw from a negative perspective.

To begin a change such as this, you will first have to take time to examine your beliefs and thought patterns. The first step of any change is an acknowledgment that it first exists.

The second step is understanding how these events make you feel and why. Once you know these aspects, you can then ask yourself how you could see the benefits of this event or person?

The third step of this process is to let go of the negative of all your situations and change them to positives for you and your life.

Life is always teaching, and everything we face is or can be a lesson. Each lesson can teach us something new, and we become stronger and wiser with further information.

.Final Thoughts

by sharing this with you today, I hope I will help you understand that no matter how negative or dark things may be in your head, they can be changed with effort and self-love. Apply some positive psychology to your situation and see what doesn’t happen for you. You will likely find what I did on sunnier days!
