This week I will be talking about twelve questions you might be afraid to but should ask yourself.

You may ask why you should ask yourself these questions? I will respond that it is the best way to be on the same page with yourself and the direction you want to move in life.

If you are interested in learning a little more about yourself, I encourage you to do more than just read this article; I encourage you to grab a piece of paper and a pen or your favorite note-taking device and answer the questions along the way.

Who Am I?

One of the first questions you should know the answer to is who am I. You would be amazed how many people do not know who they are. If you want to be aligned with your dreams, goals, or ambitions in life, you first have to know who you are and what direction you want to go.

Things you can do to get to know yourself include reflecting on what you think, how you feel about things and people in your life, how you think about issues, and what you will or will not do about them.

You will figure out who you are, what you want, or how you will respond to anything in this world by being honest with yourself, even if what you find is not what you want to see. Remember, if you find you are not the person you thought you were, you have the power to change.

How do I want to impact the world?

This is another question I find most people do not have the answer to, and honestly, too few think about this question at all.

Something to notice is that we all impact this world in one way or another, even when we think no one sees us.

This is because we can not see everything no matter how hard we try, and we do not always see who is paying attention to us.

This is why it is essential to know the answer to this question; by acting according to our desired outcome for worldly impact, we will affect those, paying attention the way we intend them to, whether we see them or not.

Do I feel good about how I treat others?

This is another good question because we do not always treat people as we think. Most people do not seek to hurt others in any way, but sometimes we do without understanding what we are doing. Sometimes it is good to pause and ask yourself am I treating clothes the way I would want to be treated.

Taking time to reflect on this question will help you to affect others positively.

Am I working for the highest good?

If you are someone who understands their purpose on this earth or in this life, you will likely understand that we are all here to serve others in one way or another.

The question then becomes are you serving others in your highest state of being. Unfortunately, not everyone does; so many reach to their lessor selves and justify their actions to simply be the way of the world. Yet, we can not serve others in that state.

We can only fulfill our purpose on this earth if we act from a higher state of being. So, I would encourage you to reflect on this question and see what you figure out.

Life is too meaningful to not do?

This question will help you build a bucket list of things you would like to achieve before you die or pass on to the next life. We all have things that we want to do, see, feel or experience that we might avoid doing for one reason or another.

By asking yourself this question, you become consciously aware of the desire, and this knowledge will then encourage you to pursue it.

Our lives are our stories; the underlying question of “life is too important not to” is how you want your story to be told.

Let me ask you this question: Would you rather live life to the fullest that you can, or would you rather avoid this freedom and achievement of your desires by hiding behind your excuses and reasoning for why you shouldn’t do these things? Your answer will determine your course of action.

Life is too short to tolerate?

In an attempt to set boundaries or even a code of conduct by which to live your life, I would encourage you to make a list of things that you simply will not tolerate. Along with what you will.

An excellent example of this is to simply no longer allow people to mistreat you in a manner they have previously or if you are willing to tolerate something, like, say, working overtime three days s week to help out a fellow co-worker or the company.

The point of the question is to know your boundary lines so you will know what you will or will not do in any situation you face. This will make you stable and steady as you move on this journey through life.

Why do I allow my fears to hold me back?

This is such a good question to ask yourself. However, it can also be one of the scariest questions.

We all have fears that seem way more significant than they really are. The only way to bring your concerns down to a manageable size is to realize that rarely are things or people as scary as they seem.  Fears are not meant to hold you back; they make you aware of possible danger.

If you find that your fears are holding you back from living authentically, then it could be a very good question to ask yourself and figure out why you are allowing your fears to hold you back.

Why am I afraid of the things I am?

Understanding your fears and how they are created is fundamental to any success you hope to have in life, as it is the only way you will ever truly be in the driver set of your life.

The best way to achieve this is to ask yourself what you fear most. ( I found it is best to make a list of all your worst fears and tackle them one by one) Then ask yourself how you became afraid. Once you see the problem and how it was created, you can look for solutions to work through it when those things have to be faced.

It is essential to be as honest with yourself as possible.

What do I do that I am proud of?

Understanding what you are doing well will help boost your confidence, self-esteem, motivation, and overall productiveness. Not everyone can look to others to help them stay in a positive or productive frame of mind.

Asking this question and finding positive answers to the question will help you every time. If you find you are not doing as much as you would like, then understand that you can change this by taking action to start doing things you can be proud of.

It is always a good question to ask no matter what you find.

What things should I change about myself?

We all have something that we would like to change about ourselves sometimes, these things are small and not that significant, but at other times they can be more extensive and not easily ignored.

Regardless of how big or small these changes may be, once you find the things you want to change, you can simply create steps to allow that change to begin.

What is the best way for me to contribute to the changes needed in the world?

As we are all given a purpose and meant to serve others with our skills and talents, this is an excellent question to ask yourself.

The trick is to use our talents and skill to serve the highest good as it will genuinely help this world be the best it can be. Remember that everything we do will directly impact someone else’s life, and when you affect lives for the positive, you encourage those people to impact even more lives for good.

Do I feel or express enough gratitude?

It is so easy to get lost in our day-to-day and never stop to say thank you or show the gratitude that we feel for all that we have or will be given.

This is a good question to ask yourself regularly. Showing gratitude and appreciation regularly will encourage those around you to keep giving and supporting you in the ways they do.

Unfortunately, we have now come to the end of our time together, and I hope you found some interest in these questions I have suggested that you take the time to ask yourself.

It’s essential to understand that by staying aware of yourself and how you think, feel, and act, you will always remain in the driver’s seat of your life and benefit others with your highest state of being.

If you would like to share your thought, please feel free to do so in the comment section below. Until next, Namaste.
