This week, I would like to discuss seven ways to change your story. Very few of us see our lives as stories, let alone a story that can be passed down from generation to generation. Yet, in fact, this is actually what our lives are. Each of our lives are packed full of lessons we have learned and can pass on to the next generation.

From this perspective, it becomes important to see our stories in the right light before passing them on. Words have the power to build up or tear down, and our words are formed from our perspectives. So, allow me to point out seven ways that you can take a negative view of your story and change it to a positive. As we take another step toward becoming positively improved.

I think that the natural step, to begin with, is living in the present.

Live in the present

How does one live in the present moment with so many distractions and worries that we all seem to face on a daily basis?

If you are looking at this will complete honesty, you will see that It takes practice and mindfulness to become skilled at remaining in the present moment, but the best way to achieve this is to remind yourself of where you are, what you are doing, and to appreciate all that is around you.

When you can do this easily, you have mastered the skill of remaining present and will find that you are more focused and productive in your daily tasks.

You will also find that you are more connected and attentive in conversations and more balanced emotionally and at peace spiritually. This will help you see things as they are and from a more positive perspective.

Have gratitude

It is easy to be grateful for everything when everything is going your way, but it can be quite challenging to be grateful when life seems to be going all wrong. Yet, you can not manifest dreams, desires, or outcomes without gratitude, so how can you stay grateful for the life you have in these kinds of situations?

As challenging as it may be, it is important not to be disappointed in negative outcomes to your situations or overall life because all things pass and all things have a balance to them, so if things are bad now, they will at some point get better. It is a law of the universe.

The best way to invite better to come into your life is if you stay positive in your mindset, which will require you to be mindful and be grateful for what you have. Gratitude has an unbelievable power in allowing you to look at any situation you face with a more positive perspective. This positive perspective can change how you see and ultimately tell your story.

Stay open-minded

Staying open-minded can be challenging when things are not going as you want or planned. However, if you believe in the power of the universe and that the universe wants you to succeed, you will find it much easier to remain open-minded.

Although the universe does not move by our rules or in our timing, which makes it unpredictable, it wants to bring positivity into the world to balance the darkness in our lives.

However, it can only do that if you are open to the possibility that anything is possible, which will require you to remain open-minded in all situations. By seeing things in this light, you open yourself up to telling your own story differently.

Be optimistic

Many people find it so hard to be optimistic in such a negative and hate-filled world. Yet, it is because of that negativity and hatred that it becomes so essential to be optimistic. Remember that everything has a balance, and if you are surrounded by negativity, your optimism will help you stay in peace with yourself and the world around you.

Think of your optimism as your power; when you refuse to give into the negative forces that seek to drag you into a state of sadness and misery, you become more powerful than negativity and hatred. The best way to achieve this is to stay mindful of your thoughts and feelings. This will also allow you to tell your story more positively as you will pass along a very important skill.

Embrace the change

Some people love change and look at life as if it is an adventure, so they have no problem embracing change, but the rest of us tend to struggle with change some more than others, no matter how hard change may be for you to handle, you must work to embrace it.

Change is a natural progression of life, and it is constant; the more adaptable you are, the better things will go for you. I find that although change is hard for me to deal with if I remember, life is just an adventure with infinite possibilities, and so many of those possibilities could work to my advantage, then change doesn’t seem so hard to handle anymore, and some changes can be more exciting than scary. So maybe the next time you face change, you can try this approach and see how it works. Remember, an adventure is a lot more fun to live than a horror story.

Live your life authentically.

Have you ever met a person who seems to change with their environment? If you have, you only have one thing to understand. ; you will likely never get to know them as their authentic selves. This person is a chameleon and is too afraid of rejection or how others will perceive them to show anyone who they authentically are.

Loving yourself enough to shine as you are for the whole world to see is not an easy task when everyone around you looks as if they are living perfect lives, and yours looks a mess in comparison. Yet, being yourself is the only way to live a free and fulfilling life. People who hide behind masks or false identities are never free and will never have a true sense of belonging.

To live your story out loud and proud, you must be your true self, no matter who that person may be.

Surround yourself with positive

This is a very important step; although it may prove challenging, you must surround yourself with as many positives as possible. The more positive you surround yourself with, the more you can achieve all the other steps I have outlined in this blog. On the other hand, if you only surround yourself with negatives, you are setting yourself up for failure, as you will struggle and eventually give up as you lose hope.

It took me a long time to figure out this part. You can do all the other sets and still fail if you do not surround yourself with as much positive support as you can to keep you up when the world has got you down. You can do this in any number of ways, but you must do this in a way that works for you.

Now that I have pointed out and outlined the seven ways you can use to change your story, my greatest hope is that you will take the steps needed to become positively improved by seeing your story in a new light and living a more peace-filled and joyful life.

I would love to hear any comments or thoughts on this topic or any topics you want me to write about in the future in the comment section below. Until next week. Namaste.
