The Thirty Ways To Motivate

  1. Create an Image – so many people will tell you to imagine what you want and then move toward that goal. Anyone who has tried this will tell you it works. One of the best ways to motivate yourself is to give yourself an image of what you want and to work toward getting it.
  2. Develop your self-discipline – In order to achieve anything in life, you have to first have the ability to control your mind and actions. Self-discipline not only has the power to motivate you it has the power to keep you motivated when things get hard.
  3. Get out of your comfort zone – People find it so easy to sink into being comfortable, Life always seems so much better when you are safely tucked away in a place safe, but it is murder on your motivation to be comfortable if you want to see yourself get busy, step out of your comfort zone and see what happens.
  4. Plan your work in advance – When you take the time to plan your work in advance you actually, look forward to doing it in most cases and even better it will leave you with a sense of purpose and a sense of purpose motivates all.
  5. Adapt your goals – As you achieve a goal add another one. With every goal, you add the more you will achieve. At, some point you will look up and see that you went so much further than you could have ever dreamed possible.
  6. Who you believe you are is who you become.- What we believe has a powerful effect on the way we think, talk, and act. The way, we think, talk, and, act also reinforce what we believe. If you believe you can do something, then you will do it.
  7. Learn to be still – this may seem to be a funny way to motivate yourself but in fact to have the ability to just sit still and enjoy your own company can be quite refreshing your mind and soul and will replenish your willingness to get any job done.
  8. Stop caring what others think – most times, caring what others think will only add pressure to an already uncomfortable or stressful situation, which ‌kills motivation, the best way to remedy this problem is to stop caring what others think and simply follow our judgment.
  9. Pretend it is true until it is – like they say fake it until you make it, sometimes it is the most effective way to get you started on a goal or task that you want to achieve.
  10. Beware the t.v.- If you are spending too much time in front of the t.v. you are spending too much time watching others living their dreams and not enough time achieving your own.
  11. Do it today – Sometimes a little applied pressure does the trick and as they say why put off until tomorrow what we can do today?
  12. Break it down – Some jobs can be very overwhelming and just have to be broken down into bite-size portions in order to get the job done.
  13. Walk away when necessary – If you have people or situations that only seem to tear you down then take it as a sign that you should walk away. You should only seek out or have relationships with those who build you up and support you.
  14. Be unique – We all have that unique shine about us that helps us to stand out and leave our mark on this world. Finding this, will give you purpose and drive.
  15. Respond rather than react – when we are emotional or unorganized we are reactive and in our reactiveness we are messy but when we respond we are in a calm state and become far more effective in getting the job done, this will encourage you to do more.
  16. Find your happiness – As the song says ”be happy don’t worry”. It is always a good idea to be happy in the situation that you are in. If you can learn to be happy regardless of your situation, then you, will also likely have a can-do attitude.
  17. Run towards your fear – The faster you confront your fears the less power they have over you and the more power you will have over them. You will spend less time blocked or unable to find a way to get any job done.
  18. Be Creative – The more imaginative or creative the approach the more exciting the task will become.
  19. Create healthy relationships – creating positive and supportive relationships could open doors that will help you in ways that you might need to get the job done. Supportive relationships can prove to be a lifeline to someone who would otherwise sink in a given situation.
  20. Be Present – it is always a good idea to be present in your situation. Being focused helps you not only do the job but do it right and if you’re new at doing the task at hand, you will have the added benefit of learning from the task as well.
  21. Rise to your challenges – Sometimes we are required to be our heroes and rise to the challenges that life throws at us. Having the knowledge that you can save the day can be a very powerful motivator.
  22. Be Curious – It is always a good idea to ask questions and to be inquisitive about whatever it is you are trying to achieve.
  23. Don’t be afraid to think out loud – the stigma behind talking to ourselves can be a bit hard to work around but sometimes the best way to get us busy is to get us thinking and working on things out loud. There have been studies that prove that thinking out loud helps a person retain information more effectively.
  24. Follow Through – It is a good thing to commit to a job that you started and follow it through to the end. This will make you feel good about yourself as well as leave other people with a good impression of you, which will lead to a well-kept reputation.
  25. Turn it into a game – Turning every task into something that seems fun to do makes it so much easier to do. We all love to play and let our inner child out from time to time.
  26. Welcome your problems – Problems open the door to solutions and solutions create wisdom. Growth is always found in adversity.
  27. Debate the Darkside – we all have a positive, optimistic side and a negative dark side to our minds and personalities. When you find that negative naysayer talking to you question what you hear and put a positive spin on what is being said.
  28. Serve others with love – when we do what we love and serve others with it we make this world a better place. When you have the power to make this world a better place, you have little problem finding motivation.
  29. Reinforce with positive action – When what you are doing will have some kind of positive effect on you or the people you love motivation will be easier to find.
  30. Take responsibility – when you are responsible for someone or something you have a certain level of pressure applied and in most cases this pressure is what will motivate you.
