Welcome back, everyone. This week I thought we could discuss the topic, of giving and receiving along with why they are beneficial. Along our journey toward becoming positively improved, we all have that moment in our journey when we learn that giving and receiving are essential to the balance and flow of all things. It is much like the yin and yang of life.
Whether you are just beginning your journey or are further along and simply want to learn more about this topic, I encourage you to stick around while I break down how giving and receiving works and why they are so important.
What does it mean to give?
The definition of giving is to transfer freely to another person. However, the act of giving releases vibrational energy that communicates with the invisible spiritual world about your goodwill toward others.
Whether you are giving a physical gift or just moral support, when you give freely of yourself, your time, or your resources, you will find that you are communicating with the divine and the universe of your true intentions toward others.
What does it mean to receive?
The definition of receiving is to be given or to come into a possession. Yet much life with giving you are also communicating with the spiritual world. This time, however, you are communicating that you are open to receiving whatever is given.
When we are open to receiving along with divine will and timing, the gifts and opportunities can, and in most cases, will become abundant.
What are the benefits of giving?
If you have ever given anything to another freely, you will know that it feels good to give, but it also has the added benefits of promoting a happier life, a healthier way of life, and the ability to improve other people’s lives.
You are also paving the way for the giving and goodwill to be passed along to other people or, as some would say, to be paid forward. Giving is beneficial in so many ways, not only to the receiver but also to the giver.
The universe always aligns things so that when we give freely that you will, in turn, also be given to freely, and for extremely good deeds, the universe will give back to you tenfold of what you gave, as a bonus.
Is it better to give or receive?
We can only find the answer to this question inside ourselves. There is no right or wrong to this question and different people would give a different answer. Both have benefits and both make you feel good.
The only difference between the two is that one is about serving others and one is about self gratification. Depending on the type of person you are, will determine your answer. However, I would love to read your thoughts on which you think is better and why in the comment section below.
Why is it essential to receive?
Receiving is not all about just getting a gift or something you have been wishing for. It is also about strengthening relationships with others and with the divine. By being open to receiving, you tell the divine that you trust that all is as it should be.
By showing gratitude for the gift you receive from others, you reinforce and strengthen your connection to that relationship. There are also health and other benefits that come from receiving.
It is good to give to others, but it is also extremely good to receive as well.
Ways that you can give.
In this world, there are so many ways that we can give. Below, I will list a few of these ways.
- Being emotionally available
- Carving out time for others
- Physical or monetary gifts
- Make someone laugh
- Give them a compliment
- Do a random act of kindness for someone you do not know
- Donate – stuff, money, time, or blood
- Share your optimism through positive words and a mindset
These are only a few of the vast ways we can give to others. If you can think of more ways to give feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section, I would love to read them.
Final Thoughts:
As I come to a close with this week’s topic, I hope you take the time to examine and see if you have an even flow of giving and receiving, taking place in your life and relationships as this is important to the balance in your life and will greatly aid you along your journey towards becoming positively improved.
