Welcome back, everyone. This week I thought we could discuss how to use creativity in our daily lives. I have taken notice of how so many of us get locked into doing the same old things in the same old ways.
However, using creativity in our daily lives helps us to keep feeling younger and full of joy and excitement for what tomorrow will bring. Creativity is what keeps, us dreaming and reaching for the next desired outcome. Without creativity, things get boring, and lose all sense of excitement or joy.
If you would like to learn how to use creativity in your daily life, then stick with me as I embark on the next step of our journey to become positively improved and show you how to bring your creativity to life and use it every single day.
Opening ourselves up to creativity
This is the first step you must take before you can take any other step toward using your creativity. You should be open and willing to embrace your creative abilities. We are all born with the ability to be creative and to use our imaginations. We just seem to stop using this ability as we age.
Life has a funny way of teaching us to stop believing in anything we can not see, touch, or smell. The invisible or pretend worlds we once loved as children seem to fade from our sight. However, to tap into your creativity, you have to open, yourself up to the invisible and pretend world once again.
The steps to follow will be: 1. Ask yourself questions 2. Cultivate ideas by playing and pretending. 3. Take action on your ideas. When you do all these things, you will open yourself up to a whole new world of creativity. Allow me to go into more detail about how you can do each of these next steps.
What questions should you ask?
Asking questions is a key action that any independent-minded person will already be skilled at doing. If you are, however, not an independent-minded person, then you might find this next step to be a bit more challenging than others.
The questions you should be asking, yourself are:
- What do I want?
- Does what I want, align with my core values and beliefs?
- Does what I want, serve my highest good?
- Does What I want, serve others, and if so, does it serve their higher good?
- What steps can I take to attract what I want?
When you ask yourself questions such as the ones suggested above, you open your creative juices up to be used. This will allow you to start daydreaming, about the future or pretending what things might be like if it was already a reality. This is also a key ingredient to getting those creative juices flowing.
How can you play and pretend?
Some other ways you can really get those juices flowing is to allow yourself to play like a child would. No matter how we get there is always a little girl or boy locked away inside us that is begging to be let out and although there is a time and place for everything you should let your inner child out to play as much as your life will allow.
Ways you can do this to dance around the house or join a dance class, You could take up painting, start coloring in an adult coloring book, you could start drawing, or you could add more color to a room or to your wardrobe or make-up for the day.
Doing whatever, it is that your inner child loves doing is, what is required to get those creative juices flowing. Once those juices are flowing, then you are ready for the last step.
Time to use your ideas.
Once you have your questions answered, and you can see how things might be when you are done creating whatever it is you are ready to create, then the most important step to take is, action.
Nothing is ever made, real without effort or action. This is where you would create actionable steps to achieve your goal or dream. With your plan of action and your daily work toward reaching your desired outcome, you will get one step closer to seeing what you could once, only imagine being real.
When you figure out that you have what it takes to create anything, you can imagine you have a more profound will to build your skills to imagine bigger and brighter things, allowing you to use your imagination as often as you can.
Final Thoughts:
Now you know how to put your creativity to use and get these juices flowing. Remember, using creativity every day will keep you feeling alive and excited about what tomorrow will bring. It will keep you dreaming and moving forward.
I hope, that you take the time to allow your inner child out to play today and build on your ability to once again imagine and create a better world for yourself and, by extension, a better world for us all. Thank you for taking the next step with me on our journey toward becoming positively improved.
