Welcome back, everyone. This week’s newsletter will discuss five of the benefits of spiritual practices. You might be asking what I mean when I say spiritual practices, as not all practices are perceived as they are intended to be.

The ways we practice spirituality can be any of many ways. However, most of us practice through devotion, prayer, meditation, yoga, reflection, and through the connection to a higher source or to a higher state of consciousness.

Whether you are going to church, diving into your tarot cards, doing yoga, meditating in your home, or being mindful while connecting to nature, you are practicing spirituality in one of its many forms.

This week I want to point out five of an endless list of benefits you can gain by practicing spirituality regularly. If you want to find out more, then I invite you to join me as I take this next step on the journey toward becoming positively improved.

Improves Clarity:

The first way that I want to discuss is clarity which, of course, is one of my personal favorites. See, anyone who practices spirituality in any form will tell you that with the right amount of devotion to practice, they come to a higher state of discernment.

In their reflection, mindfulness, or meditation time, they can observe themselves or situations with complete objectivity and see the truth. They can also see the direction or the unfolding of events as if they were given the gift of prediction.

This is not magic as one would think; it is simply being aligned in spirit and to a higher state of consciousness. It is merely a state of detachment from emotion, circumstance, or outcome and the allowance of the full embrace of a state of peace and trust.

When you are here, you can see things as they are and will be shown the right direction to move forward or the next step of your growth process.

Elevates Mood:

Those who practice spirituality have a greater sense of trust and, in most cases, peace; thus, we keep a higher vibration. This vibrational energy directly affects our moods and state of mind. As if in a repetitive loop.

As practice feeds our state of mind, our state of mind feeds our mood and attitude, and our state of mind maintains our willingness to practice or believe. So I personally find that the stronger the devotion to one’s practice a person has, the more they connect to a state of peace, and the stronger the state of peace one has, the better their mood will be.

Let’s step back and observe with our mind’s eye momentarily. Have you ever noticed someone who didn’t have a higher belief system? How do they look at themselves or the world? Are they positive people? Do they believe in the goodness of people or that this life has any real purpose or meaning?

Now that’s observed with our mind’s eye those with a higher belief system. How would you say they see themselves, this world, or the purpose of their lives? If you are honest with yourself, you will notice how they differ.

Grounds and anchors:

The third way I would like to discuss is coming to a grounding state. Through spiritual practices, we can be present in the moment and in our bodies at all times. When we are in the present moment, we can better observe, and through this observation, we can see things from a higher perspective.

These new insights and this higher state of perspective help anchor us in our actual reality and encourage us to handle whatever we face. If you have ever met a crisis in your life, and most have, you will know that staying grounded and anchored is vital to handling things constructively and effectively.

Thus, spiritual practices can be very beneficial in this way.

Connects you to something beyond the self:

Practicing any of the prementioned spiritual practices gives you a path to connect with something beyond yourself. When we as individuals have this connection, we are given reason to believe that we are not alone in this big and scary world around us.

Much like when we are children trusting our parents to have things well in hand in our spiritual practices, we take that same concept to a spiritual level by trusting that a higher power also has things well in hand and will protect and keep you safe in every way possible.

When you believe that you are not alone and are cared for in every possible way, you allow a sense of inner peace and a state of harmony and balance to guide your life. This level of belief can be very beneficial as you will have this sense of peace and harmony and will also align yourself to a state of manifestation.

Amplifies your desire to be your best self:

Most people do not get to a state of manifestation or best self, not because it does not exist but because they can not let go of their ego or their need to control. However, when you are in a state of complete inner peace and harmony, you are also in a state of complete trust.

In a state of complete trust, you have no need or desire to control anything or anyone. Instead, you simply stay in a state of observation, ever watchful as things unfold in the way they are meant to. When you are in this space, manifestation is allowed to form and take place.

When you can hope and wish for a thing without controlling how or when it comes into reality. It usually takes for me to outline what I want and why I want it and then just put it on the back burner, so to speak, and trust that at the right time, it will come.

It is important to note, though, that manifestation of a desire can take a long time to happen, and it only sometimes, if ever, happens the way you think it should. But if you believe in a higher state of being, it won’t matter how long it takes or how it comes; you will just trust that it will come when the time is right.

Having this level of trust in a higher power will open the door to having this level of belief in yourself. Thus, this is a massive example of one of the countless benefits of spiritual beliefs.
