Welcome back, everyone. In this week’s newsletter, I would like to discuss how to use certain practices to create spiritual growth. Unfortunately, in today’s age, it can be rather hard to find practices that we can use to help us as individuals grow spiritually.
However, below I will outline five practices that are effective in aiding an individual to grow spiritually if you are interested in growing spiritually but have yet to learn what might help.
Then I invite you to join me as I dive into this week’s topic and take another step toward becoming positively improved.
Five Practices That You Can Use To Grow:
Although there are many things you can try, in this newsletter, I will only discuss and outline five of such ways. Each of these ways ate quite effective in helping anyone grow in their spirituality.
The five ways I will discuss are,
- Reading
- Meditation
- Gratitude
- Giving and receiving
- Daily commitment
I know some of these practices you might not associate with spirituality; however, as I go into more detail, things will begin to be seen why each is being mentioned.
Now let us dive into the first of these practices, reading.
Reading expands the mind:
As most people know, reading expands the mind, and by expanding one’s mind, you become open to more possibilities as you will inevitably figure out that anything is possible.
Another thing that reading allows is mastering any given practice through the teaching of others. For example, if you are a Christian, then reading the bible often will allow you to memorize the word of God, thus aligning you to live better according to the bible and God’s rules or guidelines.
The same could be said for any practice you would like to master—any practice you decide to become disciplined in first starts with requiring knowledge.
Meditation calms the mind:
In the last decade or so, meditation has become a much more popular way of practicing spirituality. But, as anyone who meditates regularly knows, it helps connect the individual vibrationally to universal energy.
One of the most noticeable effects for those who are just beginning is calming one’s mind. The calming of mind opens the door to inner peace and harmony between you and the world around you.
As this inner peace grows, it encourages the individual to practice meditation more and more often, and as with anything, the more you practice, the more you will evolve and master.
Gratitude amplifies connection:
Now, most people would not consider gratitude to be linked to spirituality, let alone to help it to be built or grown. Yet, it does just that if utilized in the right way. Therefore, any spiritual practice teaches a little something on the topic of gratitude.
This is because when you are in a state of gratitude, you raise your vibrational or spiritual energy, allowing you to become more connected to divine power or your highest state of well-being. Gratitude has a beautiful impact on how you feel, think, and see yourself and the world.
A grateful mind and heart also have the added benefit of attracting more things for you to be grateful for, as you will naturally attract more of whatever you think about most. So, yes, gratitude is directly linked to spirituality as it is such an essential key to helping you grow in your practice.
Giving attracts receiving:
Now anyone who reads any of my other newsletters will know that I have been talking a lot about giving and receiving here as of late. This is also a way to grow in your practice because as you give freely to those needing your ideas, love, time, or financial aid, just to serve as some examples of what we all share with others regularly, you also align yourself to receive.
This is the natural process of giving freely to others. Although you may not receive from those you give to, you will always get something back and, in many cases, in a much larger quantity than you gave.
Giving and receiving in the natural flow of one’s spiritual and moral belief system. The more one looks at others with love and kindness, the more willing they are to give and, in their giving, open themselves to receiving. With this motion in continuous movement, it will naturally grow and be developed.
Daily commitment creates balance:
Anyone who already has a daily practice, whether that practice is meditation, yoga, reading the bible, praying, or simply reflection or mindfulness, will tell you that this practice offers them balance within their daily life.
This balance opens the door to flow and an unbelievable level of inner peace and harmony which is reflected in all areas of their lives. These are just some benefits of committing to a daily practice for your spiritual growth.
For those of you who have never known balance, allow me to point out that balance in all things makes life feel and flow so much better, as if it helps to relieve the stress and anxieties that life is so fantastic at offering each of us. Balance is such an important key to producing flow, and flow help to create inner peace, and inner peace encourages us to commit even more to our daily practice, thus, giving us the desire and way to develop and grow even more.
Final Thoughts:
Now if you step back and look at this information objectively, you will see if you utilize each of these five suggestions, you will grow daily in your spiritual practice, and your commitment to your spiritual practice will improve your life every day.
As you now know, when you give up your time, you will receive something in return. Remember, this is the natural state of all things and none more than in the area of spirituality.
As I now close this newsletter, I encourage you to share this information with anyone you feel could benefit from it. I hope that you enjoyed and got something out of the information that I shared this week. If you would like to share some of your thoughts, I would invite you to do so in the commit section below.
As always, thank you for your time and for taking this step with me along the journey to becoming positively improved. Until next week, namaste.
