Welcome back, everyone. This week I would like to discuss the important benefits of practicing spirituality. If you have been paying attention to the overall messages that society has been sending, you have likely heard how spirituality has lost much of its value.

The divide of this world on the topic of spirituality is getting more prominent with the birth of each generation. Yet, spirituality is a fundamental part of the human experience and is to be nurtured to grow like anything else.

This is why I want to discuss some of the important benefits of practicing whatever spirituality suits you best. So, if you are interested in learning more or if you want to hang out with me while I take this next step toward becoming positively improved, then I invite you to do that.

Reduces Life Chaos

Now we all know just how chaotic life can be, and without a doubt, some days can be so much worse than others. Yet anyone who meditates regularly or does yoga or even 30 minutes of mindfulness while practicing some kickboxing will tell you that things do not impact them the way that they did before they started these practices.

See, practicing spirituality doesn’t mean you have to open the bible or any book for that matter. Instead, practicing spirituality is to connect to your higher self and to the divine energy that is presented all around us.

It is about being mindful of your actions, thoughts, and words. It acknowledges that you have a choice and that if you so choose, you can act, think and speak with love and kindness from a higher state. This knowledge allows things to become apparent and will reduce the stress of any chaos surrounding you.

It gives Deeper Meaning to life.

If you practice any form of spirituality, you already know how your practice gives your life more profound meaning and purpose. Taking the time to connect to a higher state, being mindful, or  diving deeper into understanding so that you can reach enlightenment just seems to change you in profound and positive ways.

This means that through your changes, you are also aligned to impact and touch other people’s lives for the better, increasing the impact your practice will have on you and the meaning that life has to you.

For those of you who do not practice any form of spirituality, are you taking notice of how practicing creates more positivity in your life so that you can have the opportunity to share more positivity with others? Sharing with others and helping them truly gives life its meaning and why spirituality is vital to our human experience. It is not just for our growth; it is so we can help others grow.

Improves mindset and mood.

Have you ever encountered someone who doesn’t believe in a divine source of any kind having a bad day? If you have, you likely know how unpleasant that experience can be. Now have you run into a person who practices any form of spirituality and embraces their beliefs entirely having a bad day? If so, it is very likely you had a completely different experience, and chances are that you would not have even realized that this person was having a bad day.

This is because people with no spirituality are generally full of fear and anxiety when things are not going how they think they should. Whereas people with faith tend to trust through their fear and anxiety, knowing that everything will turn out okay in the end and that all things pass with time, allowing them to breathe through things going all wrong.

One of the many benefits of practicing spirituality is that you can simply brush things off, never really allowing them to stick to you but still be able to show people the grace and kindness they need and, in most cases, deserve.

Enhances peace, harmony, and balance

A perfect example of this positive mindset and mood that you gain from practicing spiritual techniques and modalities is the inner peace and harmony that you feel all the time. It also has the added benefit of allowing you to grow in the skill to lead a balanced and organized life.

Practicing spirituality takes discipline, and through this discipline, you simply will not allow things into your life that will take you from this path that creates inner peace and harmony within and around you. This discipline also motivates you to get organized and to start shifting things so that only your priorities get your attention. This level of organization leads to living a very balanced lifestyle.

Now it needs to be noted that even if you have not come to the point in your spiritual practice that gives way to balance, just inner peace and harmony are such a great benefit all by themselves, and in my experience, the only way you can get to this level of peace is to connect to a higher state of being or a higher source of energy then yourself.

Open the door to clarity.

It is no secret that meditation and mindful exercises open the door to enlightenment and clarity.

And anyone who practices these spiritual methods will tell you that you do not come into enlightenment or clarity easily. You must first go through the process of letting go and forgiveness before your chakras are unblocked enough to receive divine wisdom.

But if you are willing to take the journey toward healing and rebalancing, it opens the door to a deeper understanding of yourself, the world, and why things are as they are. You will begin to see and understand the bigger picture and the deeper meaning of why you exist and in what direction you must walk to fulfill your purpose.

It will help you to see people through the lens of love and compassion and to understand the basic fundamentals of why people think, speak, and act as they do. Things what at one point made no sense will begin to make sense. This is the reward for your effort to heal. Through healing, you are willing to open the door and say yes, I want to understand. When you ask the invisible world from a state of openhearted love and willingness, you will be allowed the gift of knowledge and understanding.

Deepens connections

Another wonderful benefit of practicing spirituality is your more profound connection to yourself, the divine source, and nurture—even the more profound understanding and compassion you will experience for the world.

In a world full of reason and examples of why we should feel lonely and forgotten. When you practice spirituality, just never do feel alone. It’s like you know that you are always protected, even in the worst of situations. It is essential to understand that people who practice any form of spirituality will experience hard times and horrible experiences just like everyone else.

What makes people who practice spirituality different isn’t the fact that they do not have these experiences but recognizing that despite these experiences, good can always be found. People of faith understand that bad things happen to everyone, but if it is happening to you, it is for a good reason, or it would not be happening. When you can get to this space of knowing, then you will never feel alone again. You will also see all the beautiful things that life offers you daily.

Final Words:

If you practice any form of spirituality, you already know many, if not all, of the benefits that your practices offer you, and I am sure you understand everything I have said with first-hand knowledge. However, for those who do not understand these experiences from first-hand knowledge, I invite you to find a spiritual practice that suits you best and then practice.

You will begin to experience all these things for yourself. You will understand why spirituality is such a fundamental key to human experience and that although the divine source may take a different form for each of us, it does exist and will help us navigate our human experience if we let it in.
