Welcome back, everyone. Today I would like to discuss some. of the most common mistakes many people make regarding nutrition.

The little mistakes that can be made easily with effort will significantly improve your overall health. So, if you are interested in learning a little about making small shifts that will help improve your health significantly, stick around as I take the next step toward positively improving.

Eating too many or not enough calories.

So many of us use food to feed our emotions rather than using it for its which would be to create a way for our body to function correctly, which, of course, leads to overeating and, in so many cases, does more harm than good.

While others are so cautious of what they put in their mouths that they tend to lean the other way and not eat nearly enough to fuel their bodies right.

As I have repeatedly said, balance is vital to success. The trick to a good balance when it comes to food is to eat enough to keep you from feeling hungry but not to the point you feel full.

And work only to put good fuel in your body so it can run at its highest performance. Remembering and implementing these little tricks will make you feel and function better.

Not taking enough fiber.

I am sure you have heard from at least one or more people. Fiber is perfect for your body and will help your digestive system perform at its peak. However, it is important that you are sure to take fiber in the right portion of your body. If you overdo it, you can cause more harm than good.

Something to remember when it comes to fiber is that every buddy’s body works differently.

The best way to know that you are taking enough but not too much fiber is to notice how regular your bowel movements are. Suppose you are going regularly and around the same time every day. Then you are taking the right amount, so keep up the excellent work.

However, if you find that you do not stay regular ( meaning you do not have a bowel movement at least once every day, roughly around the same time.), you should reduce your intake. On the other hand, if you tend to have diarrhea or have difficulty in passing a formed bowel movement, you should increase your intake. Either by powder or pill, along with possibly more fiber in your diet.

Exercising too much or not enough.

It might be hard to believe that anyone can exercise too much, but in fact, some people tax their bodies to certain limits they probably shouldn’t, which in most cases leads to them doing more harm than good. While there are others who just flat refuse to exercise any more than what they are required to give when working an eight to ten-hour shift at work.

However, If you have ever wondered what is a good balance here, 15 minutes of HIIT exercise a day or 30 minutes of moderate exercise per day is all you need to see a massive improvement in how you feel and function. I always recommend that you do some kind of exercise you love. By doing your favorite type of exercise, you will be encouraged to build and stick to your routine.

Refusing to hydrate with the right drinks.

It is incredible how many people believe they are hydrating by drinking anything. When in fact, that could not be further from the truth.

Drinking anything caffeinated or high in sugar is dehydrating you, not hydrating you. Let alone that soda has been proven to be harmful to health if ingested regularly for long durations of time. Energy drinks, if consumed more than once a day, can also start having adverse effects on you, however, if you would like to drink something other than water.

Then you can drink anything that is decaffeinated and has low sugar content. So if you are drinking decaffeinated tea with no sugar, for example, your body is absorbing all the water that you are ingesting. If you drink half your body weight in fluids, you will see wonderful improvements in your hair, nails, and skin. Let alone you will start to feel like a new person.

Focusing more on the scale rather than keeping everything in balance.

Now I understand that weight these days is such a big thing, and being overweight is highly frowned upon by many. However, when it comes to your weight, the key isn’t to focus on your weight. Instead, it is to focus more on what you are putting onto your body and then that you are only eating to feel no longer hungry. If you are doing these two things along with 15 to 30 minutes of exercise a day, you should find that you will lose and then maintain a healthy weight.

The scale should be something other than your focus point. It is far more effective to use the pants test. If your pants are too tight, lose a few pounds. If your pants fit you right, then you are where you need to be, and if your pants are too loose, well, it may be time to buy a new pair.

Final Thoughts

The overall objective here is to make improvements where you can. If you make little shifts over a certain period of time, then you will find you feel and function so much better.
