Welcome back, everyone. This week I want to talk about how to be self-encouraged. As most people know, trying to be recognized or encouraged by others can be a daunting task.

Yet, encouragement helps to motivate and inspire us all. Everyone likes to hear that they look good or are doing a great job; even those who do not need to be encouraged love to hear praise from others.

So how can we get the encouragement we need when no one else is taking the time to notice you or the work you do? This is what I would like to discuss today.

If you would like to learn about five basic ways to start encouraging yourself regularly, stick around as I take the next step toward improving positively.

Treat and talk to yourself as you would your best friend.

One of the best ways to encourage yourself is to be your own best friend. If you really think about it, there’s no one on this earth who will ever know you better than you know yourself.

If you are the kind of friend that would take the time to encourage and inspire others, then why would you not want to give yourself that same kind of friendship?

If you show yourself grace when things are all wrong and celebrate yourself when things are going right, you are well on your way to being more motivated and inspired.

Create a balance between professional and personal, along with work and play.

Balance is one of the most common problems I see people have. We all tend to wrap ourselves up in one thing or another and, in most cases, work. It is the way people are.

However, in most cases, people sacrifice one thing for another. An example of this would be that those who sink themselves into work tend to have almost no social life or miss out on more than they should regarding their families.

The trick is to find a job that you love and will allow you to have the freedom to keep reasonable hours, which will allow you to build and maintain other parts of your life, as we all have something outside our work lives to dedicate time and effort to. For those who do not, finding something or someone to give you a reason to find balance might be a good thing.

Balance is essential to a successful, happy, and peaceful life. Take the time to evaluate and see how you could adjust or use better time management if you do not already enjoy all the fruitfulness that balance provides.

Surround yourself with the right environment and people.

I know you are likely getting sick and tired of me saying this, but you have to purge the toxicity of negative people or environments.

Nothing does a person more harm than being immersed in constant negativity. Life can get so dark, and your energy becomes so very depleted.

If good people or environments do not already surround you, then I encourage you to make this shift in your life. It makes all the difference in sustaining your encouragement and mental, emotional, and spiritual strength.

Always believe in yourself and your ability.

This is another good way to encourage and inspire yourself. It is incredible how we all can do such amazing things every day and yet still somehow have doubt in our ability to achieve goals or overcome obstacles or challenges.

Yet, it happens all the time. The basic rule of encouraging yourself is to believe you can do anything you put your mind to and overcome anything you face.

When you take the time to believe in yourself, you encourage and inspire yourself and put yourself in a position to help others do the same.

Celebrate yourself and your achievements.

I know it can be hard to see our victories, as most of us only see small victories occasionally. And they seem to have the ability to pass almost unnoticed.

Yet, if you take the time to notice and celebrate them, you will find that your spirits will be lifted, your mind will be more still, and your emotional well-being will be calmer.

I encourage you to celebrate yourself as often as you can, even if all you are celebrating is being alive. You deserve it

Final thoughts.

As I come to a close this week. I would like to encourage and inspire you to love and care for yourself the way you would want others to care for and treat you.

If you do this for yourself, you will feel and do better and will have the added bonus of showing people how to give you the support you need and how to start encouraging and supporting yourself better.

As always, I hope you found this information useful. If you know someone who could benefit. from this information, please share this with them. Also, if you would like to share your thoughts or tips that might work for others, I encourage you to share them in the comment section.

Thank you again for joining us this week as we took the next step toward becoming positively improved. Until next week. Namaste
