Welcome back, everyone. This week’s newsletter will focus on energy as we explore energy points and how they work.  If you have been following the newsletter for the last few weeks, you know that I have been releasing a great deal of content on energy and how it works.

Each week, we have learned a bit more about energy, where it comes from, and how it works in and around our lives. This week, we will continue this journey by diving deeper into our understanding of energy points.

If you are interested in learning more about these energy points, I invite you to follow me as I take this next step toward becoming positively improved.

What are Chakra’s points?

Chakras represent pivotal energy nodes within the human body, commonly depicted as whirling discs of vitality. The etymology of “chakra” stems from Sanskrit, denoting “wheel” or “disk,” which aptly conveys the dynamic essence of these energy centers.

The chakra system, which has its origins in ancient India between 1500 and 500 BC, constitutes an integral facet of the body’s intricate subtle energy configuration. It comprises seven primary chakras, each associated with distinct attributes and functionalities, profoundly intertwining with the holistic body-mind-spirit equilibrium.

Now, let’s break down these energy points and their bodily functions. Although we have hundreds of energy points through each of our bodies, there are seven primary energy points referred to as chakra points, and they are….

The seven centers and their functions

  1. Root chakra is located at the base of the spine. It’s believed to provide a foundation for life and help people feel grounded and able to withstand challenges.
  2. Sacral chakra is located below the navel at the pubic bone. It’s the second chakra in the human body and is associated with the water element and the color orange. The sacral chakra is said to be responsible for many things, including emotions, creativity, sexuality, and relationships.
  3. Solar plexus is the third chakra and is said to govern a person’s sense of self-worth, personal power, and ability to make decisions. It also influences a person’s ability to set boundaries, assert themselves, and act with confidence and courage. A balanced solar plexus chakra is said to help people feel motivated, in control, and able to trust their intuition and inner wisdom.
  4. Heart chakra is the fourth energy center in the body and is associated with the physical and emotional heart. It’s located in the center of the chest and is said to be the door to our inner temple. The heart charka governs the ability to give and receive love and is associated with compassion, trust, and passion. It also plays a crucial role in our well-being, building meaningful relationships and helping us trust our heart as an inner compass.
  5. Throat chakra is the fifth energy center and is the body’s communication source. It’s associated with self-expression, communication, confidence, creativity, and hearing and being heard. When the throat chakra is balanced, it allows for precise, honest, and graceful expression of ideas and the ability to ask for what’s needed.
  6. Third eye chakra is the sixth energy point and is said to have many functions, such as intuition, communication, imagination, and spiritual connection.
  7. Crown chakra is the seventh energy center. It’s said to control a person’s connection to spirit, universal consciousness, wisdom, unity, and self-knowledge. The crown chakra is also said to give people a sense of their divinity or that they are a soul in a human body.

What can you do if any of these energy points becomes blocked?

  1. Root when this energy center is blocked, it is essential to establish a sense of grounded security within yourself. The best ways to do this is through meditation, yoga, and even using affirmations throughout your day.
  2. Sacral – When this energy center is blocked, using practices that encourage movement, self-expression, and emotional release is best. You can achieve this by doing exercises, yoga, or dance. It is also critical that you remember to stay hydrated; this will also help to unblock this chakra and all your energy points.
  3. Solar plexus –  When this energy point is blocked, it is also out of balance. It is best that you practice meditation, surround yourself with the color yellow, or try deep breathing and affirmation. Even exercise or yoga could yield very positive results.
  4. Heart – When this energy center is blocked, it is best to use practices that cultivate love, compassion, self-acceptance, self-love, forgiveness, and gratitude.
  5. Throat – when this energy point is blocked, it is best to try practices that encourage open and authentic self-expression, often focusing on sound and communication. The best way to do this is to sing, chant mantras, journal, express yourself creatively, or use affirmations and say them aloud.
  6. Third eye: When this energy center is blocked, it is best to try various practices focused on enhancing intuition and spiritual awareness. These include visualization, mantra chanting, and breathwork.
  7. Crown – When you feel isolated, disconnected, and out of touch with anything beyond yourself, you are being given the signs that you are blocked in this energy center. The best ways to unblock this chakra are to be still and silent, meditate, practice gratitude, or expand your mind by seeking new knowledge.
