Welcome back, everyone. This week, I will continue with the topic of energy but from a completely different angle. I will discuss how lunar energy impacts the mind and the body.

I do not know if you have ever watched how people get more high-strung and anxious when the moon is full, how it affects the tide of the ocean, or how animals change their behavior and patterns during a lunar cycle. Yet, for us who spend the majority of our time observing, we can each tell you the truth of how the lunar cycle impacts everything in one way or another.

The lunar cycle impacts the body and mind and is an energy shift. Therefore, this article will continue with the topic of energy and how it affects how we function at certain times of the month.

If this topic interests you, I encourage you to stick with me as I take this next step toward becoming positively improved.

The moon has eight phases,

We will start by breaking down the moon’s eight phases, which are:

  • New moon: The moon’s unilluminated side faces Earth –
  • Waxing crescent: The moon appears to be partly illuminated by direct sunlight
  • First quarter: Half of the moon seems to be illuminated by direct sunlight
  • Waxing gibbous: The moon appears to be more than half but not fully illuminated by direct sunlight
  • Full moon: The moon’s face is entirely turned towards the sun – There does seem to be a link between the phases of the moon and changes in symptoms of bipolar disorder.
  • Waning gibbous: A phase of the moon – you will become very self-aware, which will become the basis for your personal growth.
  • Third quarter: A phase of the moon
  • Waning crescent: A phase of the moon

The moon’s phases repeat every 29.5 days or once a month. The phases are caused by the relative positions of the sun and moon in the sky.

  • Waxing: When the moon appears to be getting bigger
  • Waning: When the moon looks like it’s getting smaller
  • Earthshine: When the night side of the moon dimly reflects indirect sunlight reflected from Earth

The lunar cycle impacts human reproduction, particularly fertility, menstruation, and birth rate. So, does the Moon affect our health and mood?

There is no absolute proof that the Moon affects human mental and physical health, although its effect has been observed in other organisms; for instance, corals appear to time their spawning based on the lunar cycle.

  • How the lunar energy affects the mind and body
  • There is no scientific evidence that the moon directly affects human mental or physical health; however, some people have noticed a connection between the moon and human health.

Sleep:

Some studies have shown that people sleep less deeply and fall into REM sleep later during a full moon. This can lead to mood changes, irritability, and decreased concentration.

Bipolar disorder:

There seems to be a link between the moon’s phases and changes in bipolar disorder symptoms.

Blood pressure:

One study found that blood pressure dropped during new and complete moon phases when gravity is thought to be most vital. However, many other studies have not connected heart health and the moon’s cycles.

Psychological impact:

Some people feel more emotional, restless, or energized during a full moon. This could be due to cultural beliefs about the full moon or disrupted sleep patterns.

How the lunar cycle impacts chakra energy

According to various sources such as Vedic astrology, the lunar cycle can impact chakra energy in several ways, such as:

  • Full Moon

A solid connection to th full moon can help align the heart chakra, which is associated with kindness and forgiveness. The full moon is an excellent time to let go of negativity and prepare for a new chapter.

  • New Moon

The new moon is associated with new beginnings and can be an excellent time to set intentions, brainstorm, and plan. The sacral chakra, which is associated with creativity and emotional intelligence, is said to support the phase.

  • Waxing Moon

The waxing moon provides energy to make changes and progress with plans.

  • Moon position in the night sky

The moon’s position can impact circadian rhythms, affecting sleep patterns and overall health.

  •  Moon’s energy

The moons position can impact circadian rhythms, impacting sleep patterns and overall health.

Some ways to connect to lunar energy include:

  • Establishing personal moon rituals
  • Incorporating elements such as candles, crystals, and essential oils
  • Engaging in reflective practices, gratitude exercises, or divination.

If a chakra is strong and the energies align with it on a particular day, its strength can be enhanced and used to your advantage. However, if that chakra is blocked on a day when the lunar energy aligns with it, you could feel frustrated and struggle with the aspects related to the chakra.

I also hope that you found this information valuable. If you know anyone who might benefit from this information, I invite you to share this newsletter with them, just as I encourage you to share your thoughts in the section at the bottom of the page.

Thank you to all my readers for your support, and I hope that you will join me again next week as I take another step toward improving my performance. Until then, namaste.
